The Holbrook Motorcycle Sports Club is ready to host Round 6 of the Wanabrook Motocross Series.
A working bee was held last weekend and another on Saturday before the MX on Sunday 29th, at the Wangoola Motocross Track, 11km's North of Holbrook on the Hume Highway.
The track looks fantastic and has had plenty of rain on it in the past few weeks. Racing should be fantastic.
We will post the results here once we get them from the series collator.

A Reminder to MX Riders please confirm your membership to your
affiliated Club and Check your Competition Licence is still valid as
this will save any inconvenience at Sign-On.
One Event Licences by Prior Arrangement and Membership to the Holbrook Club will be available on the day.
Please take care when traveling to and leaving the Motocross
Track as the entry to the track has changed since the new dual carriageway on Hume Hwy was finished.

Far and few between this year, the drought has broken, and there are TWO practice days scheduled for the MX track at Wangoola.
Sunday 1st August. Motocross Practice Day at Wangoola. Sign-on from 12 noon. BBQ lunch included.
Sunday 22nd August. Motocross Working Bee / Practice Day at Wangoola. Sign-on from 9.30am. BBQ lunch included.
Book them in, head on out. There's been some really good rain, and the track is in good conditions. There will be working Bees on Sunday Aug. 22 and Saturday Aug. 28 to groom the track and get the pits ready for Round 6 of the Wanabrook MX.

The new part of the Hume Highway is pretty much finished out that way now, so you need to remember to GO PAST the old entrance by about 100 metres, turn into the next driveway and turn left back towards the track. Not all the signage has been moved and / or erected yet, but there will be signs to get you there.

Wanabrook Holeshot Motocross - Round 1, Holbrook
Round 1 has been run and won. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the day.

The might of Riverina motocross was seen in Holbrook on the weekend when over 120 entrants started in the first round of the Wanabrook series.
The drought conditions did not deter the Holbrook club from putting on a mighty event with a massive effort in watering and track preparation. The enthusiastic riders offered some terrific competition on the day and yet again Mark Kirkman and the Passlow brothers fighting it out in the major events.
Congratulations to Madam President, Kim Jones for her third in the ladies class.
2009 will be a huge year for motorcycle sport in the Riverina Interclub Challange with ten rounds of motocross, five rounds of enduro and eight of dirt track.
Holbrook will also host two rounds of the NSW Junior Enduro series and the Inagural 6 Hour Pony Express, so there is a lot of racing yet to come.

Wanabrook Motocross Round 1 Ready to Roll
The Holbrook Motorcycle Sports Club is ready to Host Round 1 of
the Wannabrook Motocross Series. A track inspection and working bee was
held today (Sunday 8th March) at the Wangoola Motocross Track, 11km's
North of Holbrook on the Hume Highway. The track looks fantastic and
has had a full rip and grooming since the last MX Round of 2008. There
is plenty of water available to keep moisture in the track. The Club
will use the full track irrigation system and 2 water trucks to make racing safe and enjoyable. The Holbrook Motorcycle Club will make every
effort to provide a quality event despite the ongoing dry conditions.
A Reminder to MX Riders please confirm your membership to your
affiliated Club and Check your Competition Licence is still valid as
this will save any inconvenience at Sign-On.
